Sunday, April 29, 2012: Caloosahatchee River & Lake Okeechobeenda

Good morning Grampstr’s followers. A good morning it is as we casted off at 8:10 this morning after a restful day on Pine Island. You know what they say, right? Oh no?? Well, I will tell you – what happens on Pine Island stays on Pine Island. *wink, wink*  No, No. We will share our adventures, but those details will come sometime in the future, so be sure to stay tuned!

Today we are headed toward our final destination of St. Augustine via the Caloosahatchee River and the canal lock system to Lake Okeechobeenda, which is where we should be spending the night going through the locks!

Don’t forget to track our progress as our day continues using the Spot Hug GPS device by clicking on the Follow the Grampstr’s picture in the top right part of the website!!

Wondering about the beauty of the Caloosahatchee River and the canal lock system? Take a look at the rich history of this area that we are lucky to explore on our transition charter!
